I hope my future kids don't have way too many toys. If family/friends are already buying them plenty, why add on top of that? I've always wondered that myself. I even see people overbuy for their dogs! Not surprising that they always look so bored surrounded by a hill of toys. I'm sure kids get tired of their mounds of toys just the same way.

I do that when I battle insomnia, turn on the tube. Something about those 3 a.m. re-runs are just the perfect medicine for sleep.

I breastfed my daughter and really had no problems at all with sleep deprivation. But I let her sleep on the bed next to me so nighttime feeding was just a matter of rolling over and lifting my shirt. But I do remember the sleepless nights with my first.

TV works wonders for those awake nights. I came to enjoy being up. I just had to keep telling myself that it's OK to not be sleeping with the rest of the world. Three months left and I'm back at it again.

Don't be afraid... it only happens more frequently when you belong to a mom or parent group.

Thanks for visiting and commenting on my blog. The dark side is fun!

My brother and his wife deal with competitive parents like this unfortunately all the time before they finally have to say "my child has autism." I wish people would be more supportive of others' kids.

I'm almost afraid to have a child of my own because of these kinds of reactions!

Agree! Everyone knows breastmilk has advantages, but if you can't or don't want to then formula is also very healthy. Women nowadays stress out about way too many things. I know I have. I couldn't get my first born, my son to latch on and I felt so guilty about not giving him breastmilk that I pumped and fed him my breastmilk in a bottle for 7 MONTHS! That was really hard and my life would've been much easier with formula. Then I breastfed my daughter until she was 16 months and I know how difficult it is to breastfeed in public because our culture is so weird about it. They're just boobs! Get over it!
